Currently researching a PhD on DIY corpora as a tool for legal translators. The project has three main strands: to carry out translation studies research that is relevant to business practice, to verify and examine the needs of receivers of legal translations, and to carry out further trialling of a DIY corpus methodology with professional legal translators in a range of language pairs and sub-genres.
I also work as a legal translator and interpreter all over Europe (see website below).
I have a keen interest in technology in all areas, and in particular its use for translation and research.
